Ground Control

Due to the rugged conditions of the Alaskan landscape, pre-photo paneling may be needed to provide ground control where post-photo identification is not available. MLA has the ability to design and layout pre-photo paneling for most photogrammetric projects. The size of panels are different for each project, depending on the photo scale. They are created with a weatherproof material that will be clearly visable in the photography for precise measurement. MLA can also provide environmentally preferable panels that rapidly "return to nature" if cicrumstances are likely to prevent retrieval of panels.
