MLA generally utilizes the
ASPRS/U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Photogrammetric Mapping Manual (2002) for procedural guidance, technical specifications,
and quality control (QC) criteria for producing aerial photogrammetric mapping projects.
Vertical Accuracies
Ninety percent (90%) of the
elevations determined from the contours of the topographic maps shall have an accuracy with respect to elevation of 1/2 the
contour interval or better, and no remaining contour line shall be in error by more than one full contour interval.
Dense tree or brush areas may or may not meet these specifications.
Horizontal Accuracies
Ninety
percent (90%) of all planimetric features compiled will be within an accuracy of no less than 1/50 of the final map scale
(1"=100' map scale, 2' foot horizontal accuracy). Dense tree or brush areas may or may not meet these specifications.
